Oh, hello!

I'm Diana, a Brazilian-born illustrator currently living in the mountains – the one place on Earth that truly feels like home.

Like many artists, I fell in love with drawing and crafts as a kid. My love for art was nurtured by a very creative family – from sewing and drawing to sculpting, I grew up surrounded by hands that were always making something. From my grandparents to my parents, I've always had examples of how to bring creativity into daily life, and that spirit continues to shape everything I do.

In my teens, life threw a few curveballs, and I stepped away from art for a while. But in my mid-twenties, I felt the pull again – strong and impossible to ignore. I left behind a career in hospitality, joined an exchange program, and moved abroad as an au pair. Spending my days with children not only reconnected me to joy, play, and imagination – it also helped reignite my creative spark. That experience, along with some child development studies, showed me how deeply I care about the emotional world of children – and how powerful stories can be in helping them feel seen and understood.

So I picked up a sketchbook... and haven't stopped drawing since.

These days, I work both digitally and traditionally, especially with gouache and colored pencils – my favorite tools for layering warmth, wonder, and emotion into every piece. I love experimenting with techniques and always try to keep my work playful, honest, and full of heart. My illustrations are inspired by quiet, everyday moments and fleeting feelings – the kind adults often overlook but children feel so deeply. I also love imagining fantastical worlds filled with adventure, connection, and love. Whether I’m drawing cozy real-life scenes or magical landscapes, there’s always a little nod to nature and the outdoors – my forever muse.

When I'm not drawing, you'll likely find me reading, experimenting with a new craft, playing cozy games, or spending time with my husband and our golden boy, Marley (aka studio assistant and full-time sweetheart).

I'm currently seeking representation and illustration opportunities in children's publishing. If you're looking for someone who brings heart, curiosity, and care to their work, I'd love to hear from you! I'm open to freelance projects, commissions, and collaborations – and always excited to connect with people who love stories as much as I do.

Thanks so much for stopping by – I'm super duper happy you're here!

Feel free to take a look around or reach out any time ♥
